Roger Brulac’s done a late night dash to Grimes Graves, jumped the chain and gone down the pit without a helmet. Says he won’t budge until the club responds to his offer. Karl from English Heritage is there with a torch but Brulac’s gone into the deepest chamber.

According to AA Roadmaps it’s a 47 minute drive from Stowmarket and Wynn Jones has already settled into a new Dick Francis.
