After all, having paid Helveg to leave let's say Worthy does no better than signing Briggs or Heckingbottom? We may even have Gary Holt as our first-choice right-back in August!!

My bugbear is that we might be paying a healthy, capable player to leave. He could be very useful next season as a first-team player and mentor to the likes of Shackell and any young r-b we sign. If Helveg wants out then he can go, but why should we compensate him ?
