I was expecting a lot.

As you say, a lot of minutes last year for a very good team in a very good league. He looked like a huge upgrade in central midfield over all our other options. But it just hasnt worked out that way. Early season promise has really faded. He's looked rather lost at CB, and a bit of a liability at DMF - albeit off very few outings.

I don't see the point in keeping him around given what he's bringing to the squad at the moment. Maybe there's something else we can do with the money that would improve the squad more?
