A good team? Are you sure?

James is getting old as are Cole, Sinclair & Reyna.

Dunne, Distin, Barton & Sibierski are good players which he inherited

Jordan, Croft, Ireland, Richards, Onouhra are youth players which have been given the chance by Pearce

Samaras and Vassell are 2 of the best players they have, both signed by Pearce

He inherited an average team, with 4 good players and 4-5 average players who are pretty much over the hill.

Pearce has had to cope with selling his star player and rebuilding Kevs ageing team with his youth players, i think he is doing a good job, Man City were a mid table side at best under Keegan (And still are at present!) But at least Pearce is building a young side for the future.

I usually agree with you on a lot of things, but recently you seem to slate anyone who is not the "Normal" in football, you seem to have developed a hate for all the "Characters" left in the management game such as Mourinho, Pearce, Allardyce etc, its these sort of people that make football interesting not your boring Mclarens, Curbishleys etc
