Strange day today,

went into the most physical match without a midfield strong-man. No Tetty, Amadou injured and Trybull not exactly a hard tackling terrier.
But the technical players, Trybull, Vrancic and Rupp protected the ball well and passed around the Burnley midfield. Intresting to see Rupp come into midfield more than he did on Wednesday giving good support for Steipermann, Vrancic and Trybull.
Nice to have a bit more balance with a left footed left back and a genuine winger in Hernandez. Might have been different if Burnley had pressed harder like they did in the league match.
But after missed chances, I thought this was going to be another Spurs: miss chances and lose.
Vrancic is an enigma, looks class but against Man U he was invisible. Perhaps Farke needs to pick the matches where he is likely to have the most impact.
