The calorie counting in the post was admirable.
But it's not that hard to eat healthily and well. But didn't fancy getting into a discussion with Af about it.
Homemade stir fries, curries, Mexican can all be delicious, filling and good for diet control.
Ultimately, it's best to make small changes for the long term if weight control is an issue.
