Neither of those are bad, but they're not especially healthy either. Depends a bit on portion size. If you're eating a whole pizza, or 3-4 sausages + more than one baked potato worth of mash, it'll be harder to lose weight.
The more you can home cook, and bulk stuff out by eating more veg and less bread/mash/pasta the better. Brown bread/rice/pasta will leave you more satisfied.
Tastes better and is fun too.
