His viewpoint IS informed by his white privileged position. That's just a statement of fact.
As is your viewpoint, as is mine.
no one is saying that we are not allowed to have opinions on this (or anything else), we just should be aware of the fact that our viewpoint is not informed by direct experience and that maybe we should listen to those with experience of being discriminated against before dismissing their views out of hand.
