I have both the Intuos Pro and the cheaper Intuos S

I bought the S to use while I was travelling and working away from office/home office. There's not much difference performance-wise between the two. The Pro has some assignable buttons for shortcuts and also you can apply weighting to the pen, but that's only works as good as the software you're using allows it.
I actually prefer to use the cheaper smaller one now just because it's less fuss. Works really well.
