well, it's all about setting it up for Stokes, Pope and Buttler to score rapidly, isn't it

Plus the pitch does sound pretty hard to score on.

So I guess fairer to judge after they've all had a bat. (Have to admit I quite like the old-schoolness of it, but that may be a bit of nostalgia. Plus I'm not actually watching it...)
