I remember how totally underwhelmed I was when we signed a certain Finnish striker on a free. So here’s hoping.

His injury record makes me think he might have been signed to keep Dr Mic company in the treatment room, a man who put himself out of action for a couple of months jumping up in the air unchallenged for a header. The Doc could be a world beater for all I know, but if we get 500 minutes of football out of him this season I’ll be surprised.

(I’m mostly posting this in the hope that football karma will kick in and I’ll be forced to eat huge slices of humble pie about both these lads as they lead us to safety.)
