If it takes several minutes pi**ing about with lines to determine the outcome it is clearly so close that it is within the margins of error of the technology, so you are just wasting time for northing. If it can't be determined quickly then go with the original call. Ideally call it onside - nobody feels "robbed" if decisions that close are allowed to stand. Give the attacker the benefit of the doubt if it isn't obvious.
