Smoke from Australia has now reached S. America

That should make for nice breathing along with the teargas and smoke from burning barricades, although the haze makes the sun more bearable if truth be told.
It might even stop a few forest fires over here if it keeps the temps more moderate, which would be an unexpected benefit
