Looking very much the case re Elgar

There's an interesting cultural thing too. Dunno how supportive our established batsmen are with the new guys. Root/stokes etc seem more like the kind to offer more technical tips than support for the mental side of the game.

Where's the deep thinkers in the team/management? Silverwood talked about planning for the future, but the squad management has been shambolic for this and NZ.
