I think CBs have a slightly longer shelf life.

Bottom line is either we buy a young inexperienced CB which is a bit more of a gamble but probably has more upside if it works. Or someone a bit more proven (Gibson did make one full England squad)

If we received 30M from the sale of Aarons or Godfrey then say 5-10M would seem a decent buy for a solid defender
