The problem is that the VAR margin for error can potentially be nearly 40cm

although generally it will be a lot less than that. But if they publically state that sometimes there can be inaccuracies of up to 40cm then it would completely undermine confidence in the system.

And make a mockery of them basing decisions on a couple of cms, or even mms!
