Absolute f**king shambles.

Just watching the recording of yesterday and the commentator says the the advice they were receiving from the VAR officials was that the decision was made because Pukki was coming back from an offside position. Isn’t that just plain wrong? When the ball is played is surely the rule - while he was offside he wasn’t interfering with play, then as he becomes active it’s too close to call. And then a few minutes later they correct themselves. When the stakes are this high and those running the game don’t apply the rules correctly.

You can see why conspiracy theorists exist. This is just ridiculous. So far this season we have not seen VAR overturn a single decision in our favour and still mistakes being made - the Villa throw in, for example. In the Word Cup last year VAR was used at corners and largely stopped all the pulling, fouling and cheating. Now it’s just an enhanced line judge.
