It’s just the scope of it, the technology available and how it’s implemented. The system as they rolled it out is just not helping - there are far too many irritatingly marginal/unclear decisions and the interpretation of the rules seems inconsistent. The way FIFA used it in the World Cup was a little less s**t, with refs reviewing the action and going on whether clear and obvious or not. Still not perfect but at least they weren’t looking for spurious/contentious reasons to overturn decisions, which the current system seems to do a lot.
