The key question is whether the players are "in" with the idea that we'll go down this yea

If the players are all bought in to a glorious longer term plan, where we'll go down this season but keep (almost) everyone and then aim to romp the Champs next year, then this feels all very sensible. If the players are all expecting that we stay up, and if we don't then a lot of the key players are off, then this is massively risky and we will be facing a wholesale rebuild next year.

Need to see which one it is.
