In my youth the usual reaction of Labour to losing an election was to decide they hadn’t

been left wing enough

Then they realised that wasn’t the issue, got Blair and won elections

If they lose this one, they can’t realistically go any further left but Momentum has such a grip on them that it’s hard to see how they could go more centrist
