Murphys, Maddison, Oliveira, Jerome, Pritchard, Howson etc... so a considerable amount of high value assets by Championship standards. As well as outstanding youth players like Godfrey, Aarons, Cantwell and Lewis.

So although the situation wasn't perfect and needed a big overhaul, financial we weren't close to being in immediate danger. And, in fact, were able to spend about 10m in transfer fees alone in the first season to begin the remodelling of the squad.

Farke and Webber have done very well until this season, but it's a bit disrespectful to the previous regimes to imply that they were handed a club in a terrible state. We weren't all that bad compared with the average Championship club.
