(you suspect they don't take offers seriously, yet the leagues are riddled with clubs who complain their previous owners didn't do due diligence when they sold? ).

It's easy to buy success (when you only look at the couple of ones it has worked for and ignore the much larger numbers of clubs that it hasn't).
