I was talking to a club official at the weekend who said that basically no incoming transfers (involving transfer fees) could be made until we had raised some dosh by selling somebody.

I was also informed, despite numerous rumours, that the only concrete offer received for one of our players was for Dean Ashton but we have no intention of selling him and the fee offered was laughable
