Leaving him out starts to make Southgate look silly

I’m sure I’ve got a bias given his Norwich connection, but when you look at English players in the prem there are not many that are technically good enough to go any play for a top side in the Spanish / Italian leagues; I think Maddison would excel.

Increasingly I think Southgate is a dinosaur - for English football to progress we need to base our team around players with qualities like Maddison.
