oh i miss being at the birdtable

one morning in the sandpit, the liaison officer for 3 cdo bde gave his brief to the divisional staff: "imagine for the briefest of moments if you will, that you are back home in england, sitting in your garden on a beautiful summers day when a gentle puff of wind loosens a leaf from a tree that arcs down oh so gracefully and settles gently on your pond.... that gentlemen was how quiet it was in 3 commando brigade last night" christ i almost wept.
