They told him Beech's claims were probably untrue and yet he still amplified them and even made a commons speech about it.

He hasn't heard the last of it and who wants an MP, and still less a party deputy leader, who's embroiled in a gigantic and very ugly f**k up. Some rich and powerful people were implicated falsely (by Beech anyway - some of the accusations appear to have a fair bit of truth in them from other sources)
