criticism of an individual is not, IMO, productive

He is young, he has not faced this quality of opposition on a regular basis, he is still learning his position, and he is being asked to play in a squad that was created with defending as a secondary role.

I fear that last season's brilliance will have blinkered the manager to limitations of some squad members.

It is disappointing to see how similar this season is becoming to 04/05, but maybe the signs were there all along? (Hucks = Pukki; not enough quality in depth)
