I would assume (from my position of ignorance)

that they feel pretty much fine either way because it's a pillar of their profession that everyone, including the person they represent, has a right to full access to the nation's justice.

I would also assume the obviously innocent client is harder to come by as most would have been filtered out by police and cps.
