The Naismith signing was a desperate signing, probably due to the fact Neil seemed to sign players off certain agents and it appears had little or no effective recruitment/scouting network apart from his agent mates.
It doesn't mean we should never sign players for decent money again - its about identifying the right players with re-sale value if they worst happens.
