If its true that they told him to take a pay cut or be sacked then that is clearly very dodgy on its own grounds.

That sounds like extortion to me.

You cant claim the moral high ground while saying its ok as long as we save some money......

I think this ends up in court or at least a huge settlement.

Not a good look from Derby IMHO.
