Yes injuries have contributed although today we arguably had one first choice player out

So I don’t think you can blame injuries for that timid, weak first half display nor our continued and regular inability to defend even vaguely competently.

I accept that the residual impact of injuries may have seen some fatigue and loss of confidence so again a factor but no I don’t think injuries have been the “main” factor and I still remain unconvinced that our level of injuries is not in some way connected to what they have been doing in training.

When I talk of aiming higher I mean just not blindly accepting “the model” that has been imposed on us and that relegation is virtually inevitable every time we go up. It’s not inevitable if you can spend a little bit of cash on the squad in the right areas. Indeed we may still be close enough in January to salvage the situation if we can show a little more ambition.
