my dad was ECN (Archant) sports editor when Duncan was captain under John Bond, and knew him well.

Me, my mum and my brother used to get free tickets in the old Main Stand and would sometimes go into the players lounge after the games in the days when the journos sometimes used to travel to away games on the team coach.

My memories are hazy as I was pretty young, but they were amazing times.

My dad is long gone, but things like this bring it all back.
