We are in position at the Lotus Training Centre for Daniel Farke's pre-Aston Villa press conference. Updates to come shortly....
----------------------------------------------------------------
DF: The injury situation is much better. Tim Krul will play tomorrow. Fahrmann isn't too far away, so there's hope for Man United.
DF: Kenny McLean and Todd Cantwell are available. Max Aarons returned without any problems. Sam Byram's ankle problems are sorted so he's available. Alex Tettey is back and available, so is Tom Trybull. Also available is Onel Hernandez.
DF: Mario Vrancic isn't ready for tomorrow but back in team training. His last game in the lineup was in May, but he had more or less no pre-season, so he needs proper training.
DF: It's not as bad as it was in the last few weeks, especially against Aston Villa.
DF: We have to make sure expectations aren't too high. One thing is to have players in training, the other is to have them fully fit.
DF: Godfrey's problems are sorted and he's back in training so available for tomorrow. It's good that it's done because it's out of his head now.
DF: He'll be fully fit for Man United and will improve week to week. We will be much more competitive than we were two weeks ago.
DF: If you lose a game you always want to get back on the pitch, but the break helped us because we had so many problems.
DF: Onel Hernandez was our best winger in terms of goals and assists last season, so he's been a big miss for us.
DF: The break helped us to settle and recover, so it came at the right moment.
DF: We can't compare it to last season, it's a different level now. I wouldn't label it as a slow start as we had outstanding games against Newcastle and Man City. We know there are tough days when you have so many problems at this level.
DF: When we have all our players fully fit we are competitive at this level, even though we are the underdog in every game because we're a newly promoted side that didn't spend lots of money.
DF: We're probably favourites for position 20 in the league, but we won't accept that.
DF: I agree we have conceded too many goals, I'm not naive. You have to be solid in defending, whether you play football 20 years ago or now. It's not easy for the players who have to defend who aren't used to playing those roles, or playing through pain.
DF: It was quite normal that we were struggling a bit, but we have to reduce the goals we concede or we will have big problems.
DF: We are praised a lot for our brave and offensive style. None of our conceded goals are due to full-backs being too high. It's more to do with defensive behaviour. Of course we have to step up and find solutions as a team.
DF: I'm looking forward to having all my centre-backs back and the full-backs fully fit. We need to all be fully switched on to be competitive or we will always struggle.
DF: Our passing quality was not perfect against Villa. Some of our best technical players lost the ball. It's not just one button we can press to fix all the problems, we're always working on many topics at the same time.
DF: It's always good for the confidence of a striker to score. I was happy that Drmic was able to get his first goal for us and for Pukki to score the manner of the goals he did for Finland.
DF: Even if we travel to the Etihad, each game is a chance to get points. We're full of respect for Bournemouth and Howe's work. He's done a fantastic job over a long-term period.
DF: They have a compact setup and solid group with great offensive players. We know we are the underdogs and it will be the same. We have to be at our best to get some points. We're not going there because the coast is nice, we want to get some points.
DF: Last season we were the best team on the road. We've had tough away games this season. If we win 15 home games I would take it but we're greedy away. It's a bit more difficult but in general it's the same game and we're not scared of it.
DF: We fully support the No Room For Racism campaign. We have to make sure that there is no tolerance on this topic.
DF: No chance for Grant Hanley. He had groin surgery a few days ago so he will be out for 7-8 weeks and will be back in December.
DF: There's no chance for Zimmermann in the short term. We expect him to be back in January. The first step is to finish his rehab then come back into team training.
DF: Jamal Lewis is available.
DF: Onel won't start. He has been training for one week and has looked really sharp. His data in terms of strength is really good, a big compliment to our rehab team. He will be in the squad but it's too early for 90 minutes.
DF: It's important to have more lads on the training pitch. It's never good when you have no competition. You can't work so much on tactical things in bigger spaces. It's important from a personality point of view as well.
DF: When you see Trybull, Tettey and Vrancic back with Krul in the goal in training, it's good for the mood and spirit.
DF: We're much more happy than we were in the weeks before.
DF: It's always important to be self-critical. I knew before that being solid in defending is a big topic. That was my first task when I came here. It became a strength for us. We added more goals and ended last season with the fifth best defence while scoring 100 goals.
DF: It was important to analyse all of the games and find the details we have to improve on to get more clean sheets. I hope we pressed the right buttons, but we have to work on it daily because it's a process.
DF: Eddie has made Bournemouth a permanent member of the Premier League. They stand for a special philosophy and style of play, so they can be a role model for us, improving from year to year, even though the first and second are unbelievably difficult. They were always calm and focused on what they were doing.
DF: We're different in our setup as a club, but they can be a role model for us.
DF: I like that Bournemouth have a compact setup and good team spirit. They are also brave in their pressing and with the ball. Wherever they play, they want to go with their style. I like that a lot.
DF: It's quite difficult to create chances against them so we have to be patient. In the cup game last season, we had to be patient. You have to wait for the gap to find a precise pass.
DF: You can't compare the cup game from last season because there were several changes. The task for them at home to a newly promoted side is to win all three points. It's a huge task for us.
DF: We went into the details and spoke about what went wrong against Villa, but we didn't want to go too deep because it was one of those days. It had nothing to do with the attitude.
DF: We have to accept sometimes it can happen in football. We spoke about the mistakes, but also it's important we don't lose trust or confidence.
