Interesting to see if Southgate can change this

He’s not the worst manager we’ve ever had and has built a good culture but based on the evidence so far seems to have very limited ability to adapt or tactical nous on the rare occasions we actually need it. This could be one of them so time for him to step up.

Mount in today (wish it was Madders) but out of position. Southgate has been blessed by a goal scorer and a whole raft of quick attacking players well suited to counter attacking football but still seems to struggle to find a midfield and a game plan beyond that counter attacking game.
