The things that caused the defeat weren’t out of keeping with last season

It could have been a 4-3 or 5-3 or something type game like WBA last season, also a bit like the Leeds 3-0 too.

Our shortcomings, giving the ball away cheaply and a seeming lack of physicality were there then and there again today.

Unfortunately we just don’t have the personnel fit to make the necessary changes.

Until we do, I think we have no choice but to adopt a more conservative style. Having possession today was worthless, or actually damaging, as we kept giving it away in places where they could really hurt us.
