The "Irish Border Issue"

is one on which I feel hopelessly unqualified (more than usually so) to have a sensible view - I read articles which say that the Varadkar and the EU have, for various political reasons, sought to make its resolution impossible. All very convincing. I read articles which say that + Brexit it's all horrendously complicated and bound to lead to a renewal of violence. All very convincing.
And I feel neither wiser nor even much better informed.
I suspect that - like most things - if there was a genuine universal will to solve it, it could be solved; but there isn't.
