everyine just needs to scribble out "northern" on their passports and jobs a good'un. i'm sure the paddies can scribble in "the united kingdom of great britain and" in theirs. no borders no problems. unless there are but then every cloud has a silver lining. as a sop to the irish they can still go in the EU lane at customs in mainland europe if they like.
