I think both penalty decisions (as in the one they got and the one we didn;t) could

have gone either way. As it was both went against us and there was not enough evidence (it appears as I've not seen the handball) to turn them around. We had as many good chances as they did really with Cantwell's chance and the Pukki one that went over the top plus a few crosses which fizzed across the area.

I do accept that if you get the ball in the box and run at people you are more likely to get penalties but by the same token I think they actively seek them out at every opportunity as well as generally throwing themselves to the ground all over the pitch. i'd be amazed if its not something that Hodgson is encouraging them to do. Of course some would say that's streetwise, smart management whereas we are perhaps a bit naïve at this level.

I actually thought he was going to give them another one using VAR later in the first half when they checked for a tackle in the box where Zaha went down. They didn't really appeal for it at the time and play just went on but he was checking on his headset as he ran down the pitch.
