Absolutely killed us just as we were starting get going again a bit in the second half. I know he didn't always play the right ball but all the good situations in the second half of the first half were going through Stiepermann dropping into that space he finds in between the midfield and attack and they couldn't get near us for a 20 minute spell.

Once he went off we lost that link and had no shape to our attacking game. I thought it was a bad substitution. As you say maybe Mclean can play there sometimes as an alternative if we think Cantwell, Buendia and Roberts would be too lightweight.
