Keep calm, carry on

They were better than us today, but still about 50/50 to win pre-match even with our injury crisis (channelling usac and going by betfair odds). Which means we were about 50/50 to get something from the game and another day we might have - no penno and it's a different game and for spells we did well. Over the season our sicknotes will get better and we will play games like that and get points from them. We've been unlucky with injuries - that's about the worst thing you can say about us. We will spend the season in and around the bottom six and that's just fine.

Fuck it, if we go down, we go down and I still want Webber and Farke and we will lose a lot of our talent but for really good money and I bet we keep some players we'd not bank on keeping and we'll give the Champs - in all ways a much better league than the Prem anyway - a damn good go next season. Meanwhile we bank the infrastructure improvements we've financed from this promotion and just keep getting stronger as a club.

Sorry but I just can't feel bad even after a game like that. We never, ever beat Palace away. Or at least in n years following I've never seen it (I know it's happened in the odd game I can't make).

These are halcyon days to be a Nodger and the thing to do is to appreciate them. We've not had it so good in years and years and when this comes to an end we probably won't have it so good for a time after, though I really do think we're playing smart and banking the improvements for the scouting and youth work and Colney and all of that from this promotion so whatever comes next has a better lay of the land to work with.

Yeah I'm a bit pissed again - as Hagrid might say, sorry 'bout that - but my glass is more than half full.

We only lost at Palace. We always lose at Palace. Fucking get over it.
