Yes very much so, the envelope has been firmly pushed to the right for a long time now

Most of what people are calling radical socialism now was never previously viewed like this and many of these policies are actually relatively moderate.

The trouble is that it's clear that the envelope has and is being pushed so far right that people will soon consider that real fascism isn't even particularly extreme and that's when things will break down.

It's beginning to look like it might be inevitable. The only question is just how things will break down in the modern world now that most of the public are too lazy and entitled to put their lives on the line in an actual military conflict.

I suppose we'll all just be used as pawns while the enemy switches off the power and cuts off our water. I saw a few respectable people suggesting that those recent massive power cuts might be someone doing some pilot testing in advance...
