BJ, to take an example, has done almost nothing to prepare him to be PM - he's been a journo for a bit, a backbencher, and then FS for a short time - utterly unprepared to be PM - esp in current circs. Unfortunately, in that regard, he's not alone - in fact, he's the norm, see corbs, swinson, etc
