Of course they could all have their GE if they wanted it. Just legislate for a GE on 28 Oct with a default extension request if no-one gets an outright majority.

Stops Johnson setting an election date after 31 Oct. Let's each party try to get a mandate for their option, and gives three broad options across the three main parties - Tory deal/No Deal; Labour Deal/referendum; revoke. (lost track of what SNP's answer is)

There isn't really any reason why we can't have a GE now, except that each party knows the result is out of their hands and they might lose.
