I don't think his role changed markedly but i think he played a little deeper and more

narrow, as they all did.

The biggest difference was his work rate which is interesting given Sexy Bennett's tweet about Farke having a little rant at certain players during the week.

We all played narrower when they had the ball, especially the full backs. The tactic was obviously to make them go wide and make them put crosses in to their small forward rather than play through the middle of us and it worked (except when we left Aguero unmarked). Man City put 32 crosses in. Their per game average is 13.5.

We also kept our shape a lot better but that is easier to do of course when you don't have the ball. Its when we have more possession and start pushing forward that we sometimes get caught out of shape with the full backs up the pitch.
