Funny day, in that even though we knocked them over there were very few periods in which we felt really on top of them. Tough, attritional cricket.

The Archer/Wade confrontation was pretty epic, and Broad bowled beautifully. But Leach isn’t all that and we found it baffling that Root gave himself so many overs while ignoring Curran and Woakes.
