have you tried turning it off and on again?

our boiler went down couple of weeks agothe gas bloke came out and said it was a stuck actuator, he said if it happens again just keep turning it off and back on again and you should hear the actuator eventually whirr open. not the boiler one, the hot**ter tank up in the airing cupboard. anyway thats probably a totally useless bit of info but there we go. i did happen again and i did turn it off and on again and it did work.
