You need a referendum to give a clear in/deal/no deal result, but I think you almost need to present each party's philosophy on each alternative first. Huge difference between a Europe-aligned exit and non-Europe aligned exit, for instance, which might influence whether someone wants to come out at all.
None of the existing mechanisms really nail it. I think it's probably GE then referendum, but mixing what's de facto a vote on Brexit with domestic policy choices feels the wrong thing to be doing.
We need one of those online survey type things where you answer a dozen questions and get given a particular result based on those preferences. Ho hum.
