Only fair to give JC first dibs, then give him a chance to nominate an alternate, and then canvass more widely. Could do worse than letting Caroline Lucas lead it, as she has no power base.

They only need a caretaker leader for long enough to enable an extension to be passed and then they can dissolve for a GE.
