Well yes, I agree

But my point was that he will hide behind this as an excuse.

“I couldn’t get this brilliant deal that I promised because my tactics were stymied by parliament.”

As opposed to actually letting him try and fail.

Personally, I think we’re closer now to a no deal exit than ever because if it gets put to the people, that is quite a likely outcome, isn’t it?
