Maybe this is normal at West ham.

Mate went to the Boleyn ground with his daughter and a West ham mate in the home end. Once they twigged he was an away supporter the amount of stick he and his daughter got was unbelievable - more or less the same as you posted. He honestly thought he was gonna get a kicking after the game but was ironically saved by a huge West ham fan who ushered him and his daughter out of the ground safely.
